The nearest places to Castellaras le Vieux are the lovely towns of Valbonne and Mougins, with it’s vibrant town squares, wide range of restaurants and weekly markets.

Eating outside is a must for anyone looking for a combination of a good meal with a lively atmosphere!

There is normally plenty of free parking and a variety of shops to browse round whilst walking around both of these very quaint & popular towns.

During the summer in Valbonne there is also a traveling circus which locates itself and offers great entertainment for all the family with occasional antique and other fairs also found at various times of the year.

At just 5 mins away is the old town of Mougins with it’s lovely views, old Church and fabulous restaurants!

There is a lovely petite square which is lovely for a morning coffee or an evening dining experience. You can also see the Chateau and domain of Castellaras le Vieux from the area to the right as you enter this hillside village.

Cannes is only around 11km from the domain and need no introductions as the world famous venue for the annual Film Festival.

However it’s not just the film festival that Cannes is known for as it has some of the best hotels in the world there, high level branded shops, a lovely beach and the usual variety of street entertainers!

Enjoying one of the soft-scoop ice creams whilst sitting on one of the free chairs which lines the promenade is wonderful way to waste some time or watch the world go by!

Antibes is just a short drive away and hosts some of the largest and most impressive boats in the South of France, so worth a trip to see those if nothing else!

A daily market offers a variety of local and French produce with a wide variety of eateries making lunch or an evening meal a must if you are in the area and it is always a nice touch to visit around Christmas time when they decorate the whole square creating a very festive atmosphere.

St Paul D’Vence is a MUST see for anyone interested in classic French hillside towns and is only around 30mins from Valbonne or Mougins.

Perched on the top of a hill it hosts a variety of ‘Art’ type shops in an ideal location with spectacular views around the local countryside with distant views to the sea.

There are a couple of high class boutique hotels situated in the heart of the village which is also peppered with some fine dining and ice-cream parlors!
